概念：闔家團圓
保安宮保生大帝 – 保佑雞年闔家平安
意境：峒率境溢咭咕聲 融榮恩滿繞暖心
設計概念起於雞年及台語諧音【家】的意涵。作品內部由公雞，母雞和三隻小雞所構成的家的意像。透過肢體雕塑，傳達和樂安逸的氛圍。作品外圍的沖孔木板用以呈現家的堅固感，並由內部的光線呈現出雞的花燈，透露出家帶來的溫暖。花燈日間效果是藉由兩種尺寸沖孔排列出雞的圖騰，吸引由遠處觀賞者的視線。當群眾緩緩接近，視線轉為聚焦的孔徑大小，會不自覺但趣味的注視著內部全家福的氛圍。燈的色調也以暖色及帶歡樂氣息為考量，並再次藉由孔徑模擬出燈籠漫射性的光影。

Professor Julie Chen and Lucky Tsai lead a team of graduate students in community service. Designed Lantern for the year of rooster for Dalongdong Bao-An Temple. On display until March 19, 2017
The pronunciation for the word “rooster” sounds the same as the word “home” in Taiwanese, thus the design concept of the lantern is “Family Gathering and Reunion”. At a distance, silhouettes of rooster, hen, and chicks can be seen from different angles. Up close, viewers will find surprising sculptures of the chicken family thru the perforated panels. With the combination of light, color, and sound; a harmonious and joyful atmosphere is created.
